Okay, so we aren't really all that observant, and it took some of you out there to tell us about the mix-up. When that wonderful three-page article appeared in the April issue of Waterfront Soundings magazine, we were soooo excited that we missed the fact that they listed the entry deadline date as August 1st, not July 1st! I don't know if it was our error, their error, or just a communications snafu, but after talking with the owners of La Solista, we all agreed to extend the deadline to August 1st so that no one would have their essays disqualified because of the misprint.
So now, all of you procrastinators will have no excuse not to finish that essay that you started! Mail them in now!
We don't expect that the deadline extension will put off the targeted August 15th announcement date by much, if at all, but we'll keep you posted here, and on the contest hotline (910/452-6560).
